Quoting Alexander Selkirk’s soliloquy, Sri Bhagavan said: The happiness of solitude is not found in retreats. It may be had even in busy centres. Happiness is not to be sought in solitude or in busy centres. It is in the Self.
When we read Talks with Sri Ramana Maharishi the attention is turned towards us rather than the response to the question. Bhagavan reminds and repeats throughout the book “You are the Self, nothing but the Self, anything else is just imagination, so BE the Self here and now.” By reading those conversations, with the grace of Bhagavan let us question (doubt) the questioner (doubter), perform self-inquiry, recognize the Self and abide in and as the Self.
