Ramana Maharishi: You seek the confirmation from others. Each one though addressed as ‘you’, styles himself ‘I’. The confirmation is only from ‘I’. There is no ‘you’ at all. All are comprised in ‘I’. The other can be known only when the Self is posited. The others do not exist without the subject.
When we read Talks with Sri Ramana Maharishi the attention is turned towards us rather than the response to the question. Bhagavan reminds and repeats throughout the book “You are the Self, nothing but the Self, anything else is just imagination, so BE the Self here and now.” By reading those conversations, with the grace of Bhagavan let us question (doubt) the questioner (doubter), perform self-inquiry, recognize the Self and abide in and as the Self.
